Winning the highest known per-person settlement in a mass arrest class action, on behalf of racial justice protesters who were kettled and brutalized by the NYPD in Mott Haven in June 2020, with 223 of 257 eligible class members participating and each receiving at least $21,500.
Achieving success in a federal lawsuit on behalf of a U.S. Army veteran who was brutally assaulted—on camera—by police at the Plattsburgh Police Station in 2017, resulting in a legal ruling that the officers had a legal obligation to reasonably accommodate his PTSD and a favorable settlement.
