Kyla was the lead associate on multiple high-stakes litigations and investigations in the Title IX context and she advised higher education and other non-profit clients on the development of gender-discrimination policies in compliance with relevant federal law. Kyla also worked on multiple complex class-action, commercial, and impact litigations, including arbitrations and mediations. Kyla clerked for the Hon. She also assisted with investigations and class-action lawsuits aimed at securing progressive policy changes while interning for the Legal Aid Society’s Prisoner’s Rights project and the Civil Rights Bureau at the New York State Attorney General’s office. Kyla received her B.A. from Stanford University and her M.S.Ed. from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to law school, she taught first grade and worked in educational leadership development.

Kyla was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2021-2023. She currently serves on the New York City Bar Association’s Sex and Law Committee. Kyla is admitted to practice in New York.

While not at the office, Kyla enjoys spending time exploring Brooklyn parks with her family, including her two young children, listening to audiobooks, and trying new restaurants.
